Torres del Paine W Trek - Day Six

We got up extra early for a few minutes to watch the sunrise on the Torres from the river. We had a decent view of their tops but it became pretty obvious that it would be worth the hike to the base before sunrise to see it. We went back to sleep for a couple hours before packing up and heading down the hill.

The hike out was a short downhill walk to Las Torres Hotel where we encountered a lot of hikers beginning their trips. We had some spare time when we arrived so we had lunch at the hotel and looked around in the gift shop. By the time the shuttle arrived there was a huge traffic jam of people to get on. We made it on the first bus and then saw another one pull up behind so it’s not really worth the panic! The shuttle took us the few miles from the hotel to the Laguna Amarga bus stop. We used our return tickets to bus back to Puerto Natales, and from there back to Punta Arenas where we had a hotel for the next 2 nights.
